Hala Badri visits GITEX Technology Week and witnesses the most innovative services and technologies
Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, 10 December 2020: Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, visited the 40th edition of GITEX Technology Week, the world’s only live, in-person global technology event that is being held from 6 – 10 December 2020 at Dubai World Trade Centre.
This visit comes as part of Dubai Culture’s commitment to the importance of the availability of innovation and creativity in our current era, which is heading towards a rapidly developing digital future. The Authority has adopted advanced and innovative solutions in the arts and culture spaces. It is also aware of the positive impact of cooperation and welcomes local and international partnerships that result in innovative alliances that would ensure the development of knowledge progress and provide valuable opportunities to support the creative industry and creative talent, leading to the consolidation of Dubai’s position on the global cultural scene.
The visit included a number of pavilions for government and private entities, including the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, du, Etisalat, Smart Dubai, and Roads and Transport Authority. The Director General was acquainted with many smart and innovative products, technologies and services on display and being presented in these pavilions that aim to reformulate the future of services and provide quality experiences for customers and all concerned people.
In line with the digital transformation strategy of Dubai and the UAE, Dubai Culture is committed to the importance of investing in future technology and advanced digital solutions in the pursuit of excellence in institutional performance. The Authority will utilise these tools to develop internal work methodologies and raise their efficiency as well as to apply the best international practices to improve the customer experience and optimise returns and growth.
Moreover, Hala Badri toured the event site, which hosts more than 1,200 companies, including over 300 start-ups from more than 60 countries that are being offered 280 hours of specialised content and 350 expert speakers from 30 countries.
