Dubai Culture and Arts Authority is organising a series of discussions and seminars at the first edition of ‘Ta’beer Literary Forum’ to enhance the local literary scene and elevate the pace of cultural activities in Dubai, as part of its commitments aimed at cementing Dubai's position on the global cultural scene. The forum will be held on 22 and 23 November at the Mohammed bin Rashid Library, and is intended to reveal the richness of the local cultural scene, forming at the same time a point of contact between writers, intellectuals and media professionals in the UAE, to examine the issues of the cultural and literary sector and the opportunities it offers. Ta’beer Literary Forum’s programme sheds light on children's literature, novels, stories, dramas, scripts and literary articles, as well as broadcasting, podcasts and broader cultural content. It also discusses the role of reading clubs and the human library and the importance of criticism, review and human studies. This is a chance for literature lovers to gather under one roof, with even the chance for some book-signings.
