Dubai Culture is presenting a series of public workshops through its ‘School of Life’ initiative under the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy. Taking place in Al Safa Art & Design Library, Al Twar Public Library, Al Mankhool Public Library, and Hatta Public Library, as well as Etihad Museum, Al Shindagha Museum, and Thukher Club, the initiative offers a diverse range of activities aimed at building life skills for all, enabling them to explore Dubai’s distinctive creative scene. This contributes to fostering a sustainable creative ecosystem that enriches skills, enhances capabilities, and encourages community participation in the cultural and artistic sectors.
In May 2025, ‘School of Life’ will celebrate the ‘Year of Community’ and the ‘Erth Dubai’ initiative, which seeks to revive Dubai’s collective memory by documenting, gathering, and preserving life stories and experiences that reflect the city’s evolution and the lives of its people across generations. This will be done through its educational and creative tracks and vibrant clubs, which include the Book Club, Health & Nutrition Club, Chess Club, Family Development Club, Language Club, Career Club, Art Club, STEM Club, Photography Club, and Calligraphy Club. A total of 38 workshops and interactive sessions will be offered, covering various topics that give visitors to Dubai Public Libraries an opportunity to celebrate national identity and the importance of instilling it in future generations, while also enhancing community values, enjoying folklore, and building bridges between generations.
