Dubai Culture has prepared an enriching programme titled 'Arabic Calligraphy, Ornamentation, and Gilding Workshops' at Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children this month. Scheduled over weekends from 11 to 29 May, it includes 16 diverse workshops designed for youths aged 13 and above, as well as calligraphy enthusiasts. These provide participants with educational opportunities to refine their skills in Arabic calligraphy. Attendees will learn about letter adjustments, formations, and other key principles, under the guidance of expert calligraphers and specialists. Notable instructors include Abdul Razzaq Al Mahmoud teaching Thuluth and Naskh scripts; Uday Al Araji covering Ejazah and Diwani Jali scripts; Musab Doori, covering ornamentation and gilding; and Zaid Alathamy presenting Ruq'a Calligraphy, in addition to  a series of lectures and discussions for school students at the Dubai Club for People of Determination and Dubai Public Library branches (Hor Al Anz, Hatta, and Al Twar), to deepen their appreciation of Arabic calligraphy and its historical significance.
