Takhayyal’ – A Sculpture That Celebrates the Power of Imagination

Standing tall in the heart of Nad Al Sheba, ‘Takhayyal’ is more than a sculpture—it is an invitation to dream. Created by renowned Franco-Tunisian artist eL Seed, this commissioned artwork by Dubai Culture, in collaboration with Tashkeel, is a key milestone in the implementation of the Dubai Public Art Strategy.

Inspired by the phrase “Imagine something you have never done before,” the piece transforms Arabic calligraphy into a dynamic, sculptural form, where lines, voids, and movement intertwine to embody the limitless nature of human creativity.

As it rises in Nad Al Sheba, ‘Takhayyal’ becomes a bridge between heritage and innovation—where the timeless beauty of Arabic script meets the bold spirit of contemporary abstraction.
