Dubai Culture concludes its participation in GITEX Global 2023
Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) concluded its successful participation in the 43rd GITEX Global 2023 held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 16 to 20 October. This came in line with Dubai's Digital Strategy and in support of the emirate's digital transformation process, which contributes to achieving the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, that aims to cement Dubai’s position as the capital of digital commerce and to become a global standard for smart cities.
Through its stand, which formed part of the Dubai Government pavilion organised by Digital Dubai, Dubai Culture aimed to acquaint visitors with the array of services available via its website and smart app. Additionally, it showcased its adoption of innovative technical solutions for the introduction and preservation of Dubai’s cultural heritage, the amplification of local heritage on the global stage, and the promotion of the emirate's cultural, heritage, and artistic landmarks. Furthermore, the Authority highlighted the benefits it extends to creatives and artists, bolstering Dubai's cultural and creative industries.
During its participation in GITEX Global 2023, the Authority also presented the services it provides through the Dubai Public Library digital portal, designed to enhance the experience of DPL members, visitors, and people of determination, ensuring they have access to a wide range of knowledge resources. This effort aligns with the Authority's digital transformation strategy, which is focused on delivering a seamless and efficient experience to all its service users. The Authority is also presenting its Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood smart guide, which enables tourists and visitors to discover the neighbourhood in an innovative manner through a group of cultural and tourist itineraries. It provides its users with information related to the history, creative destinations and museums within the neighbourhood.
