Chocolate Wrappers Design Competition: A Creative Platform to Discover Talent
- 12:00-11: 30 PM Monday
- Registration Required
Dubai Culture has launched an open call for participation in the Chocolate Wrappers Design competition, organised in collaboration with Mirzam Chocolate Makers. The competition aims to discover and support creative talent, inspiring them to pursue their creative passion and enabling them to showcase their work to a wide audience.
The Authority invites all Emirati and UAE-based artists, practitioners, and designers to submit their artistic ideas and designs for chocolate wrappers, inspired by the Burj Rashid Exhibition, Dubai Calligraphy Biennale, Al Marmoom: Film in the Desert Festival, Sikka Art & Design Festival, Hatta Heritage Village, and Al Shindagha Historic Neighbourhood. Dubai Culture will begin accepting submissions starting 23 September, with the final deadline for entries being 23 October, after which a specialised panel of experts, artists, and designers will evaluate the submissions and select the winning entries.
The competition is open to all pioneering and emerging artists, practitioners, and designers in the UAE, whether working individually or within artistic collectives. It provides an opportunity to express their diverse visions. Participants must submit unique and innovative ideas, ensuring the designs are original, new, and have not been previously displayed or produced. The designs must also align with the values and traditions of the local community. Three different designs can be included per theme.
