Al Marmoom: Film in the Desert 3 features a rich programme of cinematic activities and shows
- Al Marmoom: Film in the Desert
- 05:00-12: 00 AM Friday
will take place from 12 to 21 January 2024, showcasing a diverse selection of short films addressing various societal and environmental issues, bearing the marks of Emirati, GCC, Arab & international filmmakers. Dubai Culture will present a variety of purposeful activities and shows during the festival, aiming to enhance the sustainability of the film industry in the region and create an environment that brings film professionals together to share their experiences, and knowledge, and inspire new talent to participate in this field.
The programme includes 30+ workshops and 10+ talks and panel discussions with renowned speakers, directors, and cinema industry specialists who will discuss various topics and challenges faced in the industry. Visitors can anticipate musical performances, heritage displays, and artistic works inspired by the history of local cinema. Dubai Culture has dedicated a wide space to showcase the beauty of Emirati legacy, its elements, and traditional crafts, reflecting the Authority’s commitment to introducing and promoting Emirati heritage in cultural and artistic activities in the emirate.
