As part of Library Talks, Samar Barraj sheds light on creative writing techniques

Al Rashidiya Library is hosting Lebanese writer and translator Samar Mahfouz Barraj, who will be presenting the ‘Creative Writing’ workshop for children aged 6 to 12 on writing techniques, narrative methods, and plot development. The workshop will empower them to unleash their imaginations and generate new ideas through brainstorming sessions that enhance their creative abilities. Each participant in the workshop will have the opportunity to learn the stages of writing stories.

The workshop, which will be held on 17 and 18 July 2024 in collaboration with the UAE Board on Books for Young People (UAEBBY), is part of the Library Talks initiative under the umbrella of the School of Life project. It aims to discover talented individuals and develop their creative writing and storytelling skills.

Note: this workshop is only offered in Arabic.
