Dubai Culture has launched an open call for ‘Creative Studio Residency’, a new programme in Al Shindagha Historic Neighbourhood, offering a four-month residency focused on research, creative practice development, and artistic production.

Launched under the Sikka Platform, the initiative is open to creative studios, collectives, and founders of cultural initiatives. Artists, designers, entrepreneurs, can apply from 20th of July and close on the 27th of July 2026. Submissions will be reviewed by a specialised committee based on the quality and feasibility of the concept, the diversity of the proposed public programme, and its contribution to enhancing the skills of emerging talent.

Applicants are required to have an established creative practice in Dubai, be registered in accordance with UAE regulations, and submit a comprehensive portfolio that includes their projects, exhibitions, and previous public programmes, in addition to their experience in delivering workshops, talks, and talent development initiatives.

Applications must include a detailed proposal, along with a public programme that includes a minimum of two public activities, such as workshops, talks, or exhibitions, in addition to collaboration with emerging talent. Applicants are also required to demonstrate their operational capability to manage and maintain the allocated space throughout the residency period, comply with heritage site regulations and Dubai Municipality requirements, obtain the necessary permits for activities, and adhere to approved health and safety standards.
