31st ArtMap: A window into the local cultural and creative landscape
Dubai Culture has launched the 31st edition of ArtMap, produced in collaboration with thejamjar. The latest issue offers a comprehensive overview of art galleries, alongside key cultural festivals, events, and artistic programmes taking place across Dubai and the UAE. ArtMap 31 highlights the vibrancy and continuously evolving momentum of the local creative scene.
The new issue dedicates extensive coverage to Dubai Art Season, held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority. Running from 21 January to 26 April 2026, the season brings together a diverse programme of artistic and cultural festivals and events hosted across the city. Highlights include the 14th Sikka Art & Design Festival, Quoz Arts Fest organised by Alserkal Avenue with strategic support and partnership from Dubai Culture and the Al Quoz Creative Zone, as well as World Art Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah Art Festival, and the fifth edition of Night School organised by Jameel Arts Centre.
ArtMap 31 also features a series of inspiring conversations with leading voices shaping the UAE’S arts scene. The issue celebrates the career of pioneering artist Dr Najat Makki and spotlights the work of Khalid Mezaina, one of the UAE’s most prominent creative figures. It also delves into the practices of artists Ranim Alhalaky and Ziad Al Najjar, while recognising the efforts of artist and curator Nasser Abdullah in supporting emerging talent and elevating their work. In addition, the issue presents an overview of the most significant exhibitions taking place across Dubai and the UAE during the current season.
