In its effort to coordinate and strengthen work relationships with other government entities, the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) organized a tour of the Heritage Village at the Al Shindagha Historic Neighbourhood for the Arab delegation that was participating in the fifth 'Regional Conference on Combating Crime against Intellectual Property in the MENA Region.' The tour and dinner was led by Major General Dr Abdul Quddus Al Obaidli, Chairman of Emirates Intellectual Property Association (EIPA), Assistant General Commander of Dubai Police for Quality and Distinction Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee of the Conference.
The senior management of Dubai Culture received the group and gave them a tour of the Heritage Village and an overview of the cultural and heritage aspects of the Al Shindagha Historic Neighbourhood. Emirati folklore group performed and the group was given a tour of the traditional souk. The group was welcomed with traditional coffee and attended a handicrafts show before joining for dinner. They were then given a tour of Khor Dubai for a tour.
The conference was held under the patronage of H.E. Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Dubai Police and General Security, and the Honorary President of EIPA, in cooperation with Dubai Police, Dubai Customs, Interpol, Underwriters Laboratories and the Institute of Training & Judicial Studies.
